Amendment Risk Scoring: What Franchisors Should Expect
Not every amendment to a recorded franchise agreement carries the same weight. A change to an office address is administrative; a reduction in royalty rate or an expansion of exclusive territory can materially affect both parties' rights.
CamFranchise's amendment risk scoring reads the before/after clause text of a proposed amendment and assigns a low, medium, or high risk level with a plain-language rationale, so both the applicant and the DIPR reviewer see the same signal at the same time.
High-risk amendments are routed for closer review and may require additional justification documentation before approval. Low-risk administrative amendments move through the queue faster.
The same scoring engine is available standalone to lawyers managing bulk portfolios, without needing to attach it to a specific case.
