The problem today

Administrative friction β€” not market demand β€” is what signals β€œnot ready for scale” to franchisors eyeing Cambodia.

Opaque, slow manual workflows

Agreements are handled manually by lawyers β€” franchisors cannot see status without calling repeatedly.

Legal ambiguity

No standardised templates β€” each lawyer drafts differently, creating inconsistency and enforceability risk.

Delayed market entry

Physical certificates are slow to obtain, delaying launches and royalty payments.

Four AI-driven capabilities

CamFranchise replaces months of manual back-and-forth with a transparent, weeks-long digital workflow.

NLP Template Recommendation

Ranked, pre-approved templates suggested automatically from your sector and agreement type.

ML Compliance Gap Detection

Certificate Verification Now Optimised for Mobile QR Scans

Landlords, banks, and franchisees most often verify a certificate from a phone camera rather than a desktop browser, so CamFranchise's certificate verification flow has been rebuilt mobile-first. Scanning a certificate's QR code now opens a verification page tailored for a small screen, showing certificate status, franchisor and franchisee details, amendment history, and a digital signature block β€” all without requiring an account. Typing a certificate number in manually (for example, from a printed copy) still works and shows the same status information, minus the franchisee name and signature block, which are only shown to a verified QR scan per DIPR's verification policy.

Recordal and Amendment Fees Are Now Published in Full

DIPR has published the complete recordal, amendment, and renewal fee schedule on the CamFranchise Services catalog and How It Works page, so applicants can see costs before starting an application rather than discovering them mid-process. New Franchise Recordal remains USD 150-500 depending on franchise complexity, Amendment Requests are a flat USD 75, and Recordal Renewal is a flat USD 100. Public self-service tools β€” registry search, certificate verification, template preview, and guide downloads β€” remain free. All fees are quoted and charged in US dollars, consistent with standard Cambodian commercial practice for cross-border franchise transactions.

Bulk Portfolio Integration Pilot Opens for Law Firms

Law firms representing multiple franchisor clients can now request bulk portfolio integration access, letting them submit and track recordals programmatically rather than one case at a time through the portal UI. Requests are opened as a support ticket from the Lawyer Portal's Firm Profile page and reviewed by DIPR/MOC. Submitting the request does not issue a credential directly β€” once approved, credential issuance for bulk portfolio access happens in the Admin Portal, and the firm is notified by email. The pilot is capped to a small number of firms initially, with DIPR gathering feedback before a general release.
